Our Classes
Foundations Skills w/ Finn
Puppy Kindergarten W/ Susanne
Do your puppy’s antics sometimes leave you wishing for a “pause button”? In this class we will establish a foundation of skills that will serve your dog well for life, such as paying attention to you, resisting the urge to jump on guests, and settling calmly. We’ll practice socialization to novel people and things, and preparing for vet visits, and, yes, we will also teach ‘sit’.
Please note: the first class is a human training session WITHOUT puppies.
The skills taught in this class are perfect for puppies, adolescents or new to you rescues who might need help learning how to be successful in the human world. We focus on skills like relaxation, self regulation, and focus on handler through different pattern games and training loops.
Irksome Trifecta W/ Susanne
This class focusses on three essential behaviors that make living with your dog a joy:
Instead of jumping on everybody – greeting people politely
Instead of dragging you around by the leash – walking nicely on a loose leash
Instead of ignoring your recall – reliably coming when you call them.
Please note: This class in not suitable for dogs who are uncomfortable working around other dogs and their people.
Holiday Hounds W/ Susanne
Just in time for the holiday season we are offering a class all about holiday manners! Whether you are visiting someone with your dog or plan to have guests at your home, this class will help you and you dog be successful in either interaction.
Focusing on skills such as polite greetings, doorway manners, settling on a mat, leaving food alone and reducing counter surfing we will help your pup be the perfect guest this holiday season!
Dance With Your Dog W/ Finn
This class is where we start to get fancy with our skills. This class will focus on the skills to advance our basic obedience skills as well as learning fun tricks. We will blend our skills learned in our class into a fun dance routine to perform for our classmates! This is a no pressure class and is mainly to have fun and connect with our dogs.
Canine Good Citizen W/ Finn
The AKC Canine Good Citizen title is a fun title to earn with your dog to show off all of the work you have put in to teach them how to be successful with their obedience skills. In this class we work through the different skills tested in this title. Skills such as loose leash walking, walking through crowds, stay, recall and much more.
Agility Foundations W/ Finn
Agility is a fantastic team sport to play with your dog! Working together to learn how to navigate a course including things like jumps, tunnels and weaves! This class is the perfect one to dip your toe into dog sports and see if you and your pup enjoy it!
Control Unleashed - Reactivity W/ Finn
If your dog has big feelings about things in the world, this class is for you. Dogs can have big feelings about many things, the most common being about seeing other dogs or people. Whether your dogs are excited and can’t contain themselves or stressed and want the thing to go away, this class will help!
